The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) occupies two geographically separate buildings. One collection focuses on Australian art (NGV Australia) and the other on international art (NGV International) .
NVG Australia is also called the Ian Porter Centre. It is located at Federation Square, just across the street from Flinders Street Station.

The Australian collection contains works of art by Fredrick McCubbin, Tom Roberts, Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd and others.
NVG Australia (NVGA) also features works by indigenous artists including William Barak and Emily Kngwarreye.
